Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting: Unsafe World (Photos & Video)

  

Tragedy struck yesterday as 26 innocent victims were shot dead at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut by a Teenager "Adam Lanza". The alleged shooter shot and killed his own mother in her home before getting in her car, with her guns, and driving to the nearby elementary school. There he took the lives of 20 children, all between the ages of 5 and 10, six adults and then himself.

Lanza, dressed in black military gear and a bulletproof vest, had two handguns and a rifle on him, which were all purchased legally by his mother. Authorities are now tracing three additional guns, all single-action rifles. Lanza reportedly attempted to purchase a gun this past Tuesday but was unsuccessful.

After the tragedy that struck Newtown, Connecticut, President Obama addressed the nation in a brief but emotional speech. Doing his best to hold back the tears, Obama stated:

"We’ve endured too many of these tragedies in the last few years...we're going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent future tragedies like this."

Man Beats His 7 Year-Old Stepson To Death Over Homework

Two Las Vegas parents have been charged with murder after beating their son to death last month, reportedly for failing to do his homework or reading the Bible. He was just 7 years old. According to the police report, Roderick “RJ” Arrington Jr., arrived at the hospital unresponsive on Nov. 29. Hospital personnel immediately contacted the Las Vegas police department after identifying severe bruising and swelling of the brain. Roderick died the very next day. Details in the arrest report say Dina Palmer, 27, alleges that she watched her husband, Markiece Palmer (who is not related to the child), beat and shake Roderick to death. However, both parents have been charged with the murder.

Prince William And Kate Middleton Expecting Their First Child

It's official! Buckingham Palace/Clarence House announced Monday that Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting their first child. The heir to the throne will be the first grandchild for both the royal and Middleton families. Kate, official title The Duchess of Cambridge, was admitted Monday to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with hyperemesis gravidarum (or severe morning sickness), according to a release from the palace. As the pregnancy is in its "very early stages," Kate will stay in the hospital for several days, the palace said. 

It seems as though Kate sparked pregnancy rumors no matter what she did or where she went in the past year, so onlookers can breathe easy now that it's really happening.
